Cougars! Our wonderful visual arts department has given students so many opportunities and modes of expression. Just this fall, staff reporter Margaret Hill did a story on artist of the month Hunter Broomall’s exquisite stippling piece. His work can be seen in the display cases in the atrium, and that story can be found here. Finally, it is our time to give back! January 28th, 2023, the BHSN art teachers are hosting the “ARcTic Amble”, a creative walk-a-thon event on the BHSN track and football field. “Amblers” are encouraged to get quirky to delight our spectators, for example carrying something funny, or wearing something goofy. Mr. Allanson is carrying a big, heavy log. Supporters can make a cash or check* flat donation, or make one per lap, etc. Additionally, T-shirts designed by Cougar Lukas Perdue are available for purchase through December 13!

Students who are interested can stop by any visual arts rooms in the 900’s hallway for more information. Amblers must have their ideas approved by an art teacher. Sponsorships and donations are due in early February. Help the arts department reach their $5,000 goal to support further teaching equipment for BHSN Arts!
