Living Statues 2017
On Sept. 16 and Sept. 23, students from the North Advanced Acting and Theater Production classes, taught by Grant Steckbeck, displayed their Acting Skills at the Bloomington Farmer’s Market during the annual Living Statues fundraiser.
Students involved in the event worked for 3 weeks to create scenes that could be communicated through a series of 7-10 tableaus, or stage poses. Students then dress up and perform their scenes individually or in groups of two to four.
Market goers are encouraged to drop coins into the buckets stationed in front of each scene. The dropping of a coin signals the students to move into a new pose, and the money goes towards the North Theater Department.
