George Balas is a sophomore in his first year on the Fused Magazine staff at  North. He was motivated to join the Fused staff after having taken the journalism class last year as a freshman. In school his interests include social studies and the Fused Magazine. Outside of school he enjoys sailing, listening to music and is an avid Formula 1 fan. He has  lived in Bloomington for seven years, a city where he feels very much at home.
