Are you ready for an unforgettable cultural adventure this Spring? Well, BHSN is thrilled to be partnering with the Yamate Homestay Exchange to make this possible! From April 11th-April 25th, high schoolers from Yamate Gakuin High School will be traveling to Bloomington, eager to immerse themselves in our great community and share their perspectives with the BHSN students assigned to them. This isn’t just a chance to welcome a new friend into your home; it’s an opportunity to create global connections and lasting memories! Later, in the summer, North students will be traveling to Japan to do the very same thing.
Even if you don’t speak Japanese, don’t let that deter you from participating. The visiting students from Japan will be ready to speak English with you and excited to learn more about American culture. Although, you might have fun learning some basic vocab from now until then.
The program is still in need of a few families to host for the two week in April, so if you or someone else you know at North would be interested, please don’t hesitate and come see Ms. Owaki in Room 403 or email at [email protected].
